My brother-in-law made his pulled pork which was delicious. I made some yummy red, white and blue strawberries that everyone loved!
We hung out with family and friends. I just love this photo of Colson with his GiGi (my dad's mom).
We didn't take Hannah to fireworks last year so I was worried about how she would react to them this year, but she loved them! I told her that when the fireworks went off we should say 'ooooo' and 'ahhhhh'. Well, she did just that! It was super cute.
And because I thought it was cute...I got a photo of my feet, my sister's feet and my mom's feet because we wore our festive 4th of July red, white, and blue flip flops! :oP
I'll post more about the rest of our weekend at a later time!
How did you make those strawberries? They are super cute and probably way more healthy than my brownie/pudding fruit flag dessert I normally make!
ReplyDeleteI just melted some baking white chocolate and dipped the strawberries. I then immediately dipped and turned the tips into blue sugar crystals that you would use for cutout cookies. I placed them on a cookie sheet to harden. Super easy and everyone loved them!
ReplyDeleteoh my...i LOVE the strawberries! what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI so wish I had made those strawberries for the Fourth, they are super cute! btw, I found your blog through the blog hop!
