Building Block Fun

Hannah got building blocks from her Auntie Alayna and Hannah just loves them. She is actually trying to stack the blocks and builds things instead of just grabbing the blocks and holding onto them.

(Yes, we did help her a bit!)

20 Months Old

We had a nice relaxing weekend. We didn't have too many things planned so we hung out at home. I snapped a few photos of Hannah! Enjoy!

I love this face she makes when she gets excited!

Hannah and her daddy!

This one is blurry but I love it! It is Hannah in a nutshell! :o)

And is it just me or is my little baby looking more and more like a little girl? Okay, okay, I know she is 20 months old, but she's still my baby! I don't like it!

One Sock On, One Sock Off

I'm not sure why my daughter found the need to wear one of my socks. She seriously walked around with my sock on for over an hour. And the only reason it came off was because I took it off before her nap. ??? I don't know. Sometimes I just have to look at her and laugh. She truly is one goofy girl!

See, mom, it's your sock!

I just love her so much!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! It is supposed to, yet again, rain all weekend. Maybe I'll get some basement work done since we'll be stuck inside. Wishful thinking, perhaps.

Work, Weather and A Photo

It feels like I have been really busy but when I think about it I'm not really sure what I have been doing. It's weird. I have had a pick up in guest book sales on my Etsy site so I have been designing some books...which is awesome! :o) I have also gotten a bit of other work that I have been doing from home. I just feel bad because I haven't really posted much lately/taken a lot of photos of Hannah.

We have had some crazy storms here lately. We will lose power randomly throughout the day so I have been leaving my computer off a lot. Tonight we have another tornado watch so I'm sure I will be turning it off once again. I would really love for it to just be nice outside...no rain for longer than 2 days, no humidity, temp in the upper 70's. I don't think that's asking for too much!

Father's Day was good. I ended up making BBQ pulled chicken sandwiches in the crock pot. They were super easy and very yummy! We had everyone over from both sides so that was really nice to have everyone in the same spot. Hannah wasn't too sure at first but then she warmed up to having tons of people here and then she owned the place! :oP

That's about all I've got to report. I will leave you with one photo of our little girl. It's not the best (it's hard to get the child to stay in one place for longer than 2 seconds) but it will have to tide you over for now. :o)

Happy Father's Day to all of the great dads out there!

Wish List Wednesday

I would LOVE to be able to go lay down in bed and not toss and turn for an hour before I actually fall asleep.

Nick can fall asleep at the drop of a hat and it drives me nuts. There are times where I'll go to bed an hour, sometimes two hours, before him and I will still be awake when he comes into bed.

Blogging Slacker

I have been a blogging slacker lately and I want to apologize to all of my loyal readers! :oP

Things have been great here at the Loving home but honestly, nothing exciting has been going on. The weather has been pretty crappy as of late. If its not super hot, it's raining. We haven't been able to get in our evening walks which is a bummer. Hannah loves going for walks.

Speaking of Hannah, she is as cute as ever. She is talking in sentences...although most of the words are in her own baby language and we cannot understand them. But she is talking more and more. She will even try to read a story to us. She mimics about everything that we do so we are having to make sure we are on good behavior! :oP Its funny because if I tell the dogs to stop barking or to 'come here', Hannah will yell at the dogs or say 'Dodger here!'. She is my little helper. :o)

Other than that, not much is going on! :oP I haven't even really taken any new pics since last weekend so I don't have one to post with this entry.

I'm currently trying to plan out our Father's Day cookout menu so be on the lookout for a food post! :o) We're having both families over this Sunday and I really have no idea what to make. Should we cook something on the grill? Should I make something on the stove. I just don't know.

Well, I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! :o)

Outside Fun

We have managed to get outside to play in between all of the rain we have had the past week.

Last weekend we tried out Hannah's new sprinkler. I wanted to get that mat sprinkler (from TRU) but we were at Walmart and they had this one.
At first she was fine...
...but then she felt the water.

Hannah did not really like it. :o( But it's not that she didn't like the sprinkler, it's that she didn't like the freezing cold water coming out of it. So maybe when it's really hot in July she'll like it. If not maybe I'll just blow up her pool so she can splash around.

Today we played with some sidewalk chalk. Hannah loved it but she's still not able to press hard enough to actually 'draw' anything.

Yeah, she felt the need to lay down and draw.

We also had some fun with her cozy coupe car. :o)

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I know we did! :o)

Friday Fill-Ins

1. Anywhere but here is my favorite place to travel to.
2. When I think about my childhood, I often remember going up to Mercer, Wisconsin every year with my family—the smell of the pine trees and fresh air, the sound of the wind through the trees and the loons calling, the sun reflecting off of the lake, fishing with my dad. I would give anything to be able to go up there this summer.
3. Chocolate makes for a good friend.
4. The wind in the trees, the rain on my skin, the sun in my hair.
5. Erin and Sara coming up here for the Taste of Chicago is so exciting!
6. My best friend knows that I love her like a sister.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching the Blackhawks game, tomorrow my plans include going to the European market and pulling weeds (if it doesn't rain) and Sunday, I want to relax with my family!

Morning Fun

Just a few pictures from this morning.

Hannah always tries to put her own shoes on. Sometimes she even tries to put her shoes on my feet. :oP

I love when she lays down like this to read a book. Sometimes she'll even rest her chip on her hands. It's so stinkin' cute!
