I noticed that my blog was set to only allow registered users of blogger to comment.  I have now changed that to allow everyone to comment.  Sorry about this!  Comment away!  :o)

25 weeks!

So I thought I would post my 25 week belly pic...  :o)

as well as all of my belly pics together to show you my progress.  Although when I look at them all together I think I look the same size...  :o/  Am I getting any bigger at all?  Maybe I should start taking the photos wearing the same outfit so its easier to tell...

Here is what is going on with the baby this week from the babycenter.com
How your baby's growing
Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

See
what's going on in your uterus this week.

Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby's development.

How your life's changing

Your baby's not the only one with more hair — your locks may look more full and lustrous than ever. It's not that you're growing more hair, but thanks to hormonal changes, the hair that you'd normally shed is sticking around longer than usual. Enjoy the fullness while you can — the extra hair will fall out after you give birth.

You may also notice that you can't move around as gracefully as before. Unless your caregiver has advised you otherwise, it's fine to continue to exercise, but follow
a few safety rules: Don't work out when you're feeling overly tired and stop if you feel any pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath. Don't lie flat on your back and avoid contact sports as well as any exercise where you're apt to lose your balance. Be sure to drink plenty of water, and make time for both warm-up and cool-down periods.

When you have your
glucose-screening test at 24 to 28 weeks, a second tube of blood may be taken at the same time to check for anemia. If blood tests show that you have iron-deficiency anemia (the most common type of anemia), your caregiver will probably recommend that you take an iron supplement.

Have you started thinking about
baby names yet? Choosing a name is an important decision, but it should be a fun one, too. You may want to consider family history (Great Grandpa Zeb), favorite locations (Venice, where you honeymooned), or cherished literary or film characters (Greta, Meg, or Atticus, for example). Check out a couple of baby-name books to help you brainstorm, too.

Babymoon--Photos!

We're back from our vacation!  We had a really great time!  Its weird to think that the next time we go on 'vacation' we're going to have another traveler with us!  :o)

But anyways, I said I would share some photos so here they are:

Biltmore Estate!
We couldn't take photos of the inside so I only have photos from the outside.

Chimney Rock!

(below:the view from Chimney Rock, overlooking Lake Lure... which is where parts of Dirty Dancing were filmed)

The scenery around Asheville was beautiful!

Our gems!  :o) Pretty!  :oP

Babymoon!

So my husband and I have planned a little vacation--one last vacation before the baby arrives.  It's nothing special, just a little getaway, but we're excited to take a break from work and spend some time together!

We're leaving for Asheville, North Carolina this Sunday and we'll be driving, so it will take all day (10 hours) to get there.  I wonder how many times we'll have to stop so I can go to the bathroom...  :oP  But we've driven through Asheville before and commented on how beautiful it was so we're excite to actually stay there for a few days!

We got a Blue Ridge Parkway Pass so we're going to hit up some attractions.

We're going to spend an entire day touring and visiting the beautiful Biltmore Estate!

We're going to go to Chimney Rock.  I just hope I can make it up those stairs...  :o/

And we're going to go to a gem mine and hopefully find a beautiful gem... or two... or three!  :o)

We'll probably hit up a few more attractions and walk around the Biltmore Village which has shopping and multiple dining locations.

I'm excited and I'm sure we'll have fun!  I plan on taking lots of photos so stay tuned... I'll post some when we get back!  Thursday we'll make the 10 hour drive home.  :o(  But we'll have the rest of the week off to recoup from our vacation.  :oP

Adorable Name Pendants!

How absolutely adorable are these name pendants?

I found Cristina's Blog through Hostess Blog.  All of her designs are so cute and dainty... and reasonably priced! (these are no more than $50)  You can fully customize your piece with any saying and obviously any name.

Check out her blog for more designs!  They're wonderful!

The Nursery!

Since I can't start the nursery for another... well who knows how long... I have been obsessed with at least trying to pick everything out for it.

We're moving and probably won't be in the house until after the baby is born so I will not have an official nursery to bring our baby girl home to (which does not make me happy!!!).  I think it is really screwing up my nesting period but I guess there's nothing I can do about it except be upset, right!?

Anyways, I have been looking at upholstered rockers for the future nursery and have really only found one that I like and is not an ungodly amount of money.
Oddly enough, it is from Walmart...

I have also been looking for design inspirations for the walls.  If we go with the polka dot bedding from Pottery Barn that I blogged about in my previous entry, then I have been tossing around these ideas:

Oh how I wish I could start the nursery...  URGH!

I've Made Up My Mind!

After much thought and browsing through many baby bedding websites, I have made a decision on our baby bedding!  :o)

If, at our next ultrasound they confirm it is a girl, I am going with this bedding from Pottery Barn!

I had originally set out to find a gender neutral bedding, mostly because we didn't think we were going to find out the sex and because we wanted to use it for our next baby as well. But after finding out she is a girl, I figured why not do a girly bedding!?  Would I really reuse this crib bedding for our next child?  Probably not, I get bored with things to easily.  So I set out to find a bedding that was girly without SCREAMING girl!  I think this bedding is perfect!  Its pink, blue, green and orange. I love it. With our dark espresso furniture, I love it even more!  :o) And how cute is it that I can get her name on the blanket!?  Ah!  So cute!

So now I'm eager to have our next ultrasound so we can in fact confirm that she is a girl.  Then my mom will order everything for me (it is going to be a gift from my mom!).  :o)  Hurry up next ultrasound... I want to schedule you!
