3 month photo shoot

Its 2 days early, but I did a 3 month photo shoot with Hannah.

There wasn't enough light in the bedroom so I had to use a flash (BLAH) so I will probably do another shoot this weekend... just earlier in the morning so I have more light.  That and I would like to do a few other posses with her but I couldn't today because she started to get annoyed with me.  :oP

I must say though, I have the cutest daughter in the world!  :o)

mommy I'm tired!  :oP

This one I took without a flash (notice the better lighting and color) but unfortunately its a bit blurry.  But it was just too cute to not post.  I actually think that this is my favorite photo from the shoot!  :o)

A Great Day!

Today, Barack Obama became the 44th President of the United States of America!  Today is a great day!

I dropped Hannah off at her grandma's this morning because I am painting out at the house, but I couldn't miss history being made so I made sure I was home to see the inauguration.

Well, Hannah watched it at her grandma's and boy, the excitement on Hannah's face about our new president is just too much!  (my mother-in-law sent me this photo  :oP )

Hannah, I am so glad you could witness (well, sort of witness) history being made!  Maybe one day you will become president because today proves that ANYTHING is possible in this country.  Today is a GREAT day!

My Gamblin' Baby

Doesn't every parent teach their child how to gamble at the age of 2 months???

Which card should I pick, daddy?

I think I'll pick this one!

Okay, okay, we weren't gambling we were just playing rummy.  :o)

But let me tell you, it totally wiped Hannah out!

My sweet sleeping angel!

And yes, I know, it's almost time to move her into her crib...  :o(  I'm trying to hold off until we move and she has her own room.

Winter Wonderland

This is the view out our front door.  Its been doing this for the past, oh, two days.  And before the snow ends we're supposed to get another 3-5 inches.  Oi!  At least I don't have to leave the house any time soon!

Gotta love my poor puppies trudging through the snow though.  We keep shoveling a path but it keeps snowing.  There's just no catching up! Its definitely over their head in the non-shoveled parts.

Hannah's Furniture

With our house nearing completion, I finally picked out the dresser that I wanted for Hannah's room.  Her dresser is a shower gift from my mother-in-law but since we really had nowhere to put it, I put off picking one out.  But it's finally been ordered and I can't wait for it to come.  My mother-in-law also decided to get her the matching night stand so I will be able to put it next to the glider!  :o)

Goodnight, Sleep Tight!

For the past three night Hannah has been sleeping really well.  At first I thought maybe it was just one lucky night but now that it has been three nights in a row, I am starting to think that this might be her new schedule.

Sunday night she went 6.5 hours between feedings.  Granted I was still up for about two of those hours, but she still went a rather long amount of time before she woke up again.

Monday night she went 5.5 hours... of which I was smart enough to go to bed right after she was fed and feel asleep.  :o)

Then last night she went 6 hours.

Usually Hannah will give me 4 hours in between feedings, maybe the occasional 5.  It is so nice to be able to sleep for a longer amount of time straight through!  :o)

Hannah, please keep it up!  :o)

Painting-Almost Finished!

Well Nick and I have been painting almost everyday for the past week... and we're almost finished.

Here are some photos of our progress:  (please disregard the bad photos--I dropped my camera and ever since, I have gotten those funny halo spots. I'll be sure to take some better photos with my nice camera once everything is painted.)

Master Bath.

Master Bedroom--but I still need to paint the sheen stripes.

Office/Spare Bedroom.

Dining Room--although I think we're rethinking this yellow... its kind of looks like a circus in our kitchen with the yellow and the red together...  :o/

Kitchen.

Hannah's Bedroom--but its not finished.

The front of our house!  :o)

Paint, Paint and More Paint

The plan today was to go out and get the 9 gallons of paint that we needed to paint our house.  Mind you this is after we have already bought 15 gallons of primer, about 8 gallons of ceiling paint, 3 gallons of red for the kitchen and 3 gallons of slate blue for the living room. But unfortunately we got some snow last night and this morning and the road in the front of our house doesn't look very good. So I am going to get it tomorrow morning because later in the day parents are coming over to help us paint.

Since I can't go out today I decided to play with BEHR.com.  I picked out all of the colors for the house (although I did have the majority of them picked already)!

They are as follows:

  kitchen colors

  living room

  hall bathroom

  office/spare bedroom

  master bedroom
(which will also have strips--of the same color just different sheens)
  master bathroom

  Hannah's bedroom colors
(which will have an accent wall of a block pattern like her comforter and then the other three walls are just pink)

So yes, we are not shy of color.  Actually the only things that are not having any color are the closets and the hallway.  :o)

I'll post photos tomorrow of what we get done!
