Happy Halloween!

Getting Hannah to keep a hat on is not an easy task.  It was actually easier for me to get a photo of Dodger in the witch's hat.  :oP

I hope everyone has a safe and happy halloween!

I need your help!

I got some teaser pics from our family session a couple weekends ago with Lauren Alexis Photography, so I decided to design our christmas card for this year! Some of the pics may change once we get the DVD of all of the photographs but I wanted to get ahead of the game a little bit!

I designed two different christmas card options... but I can't decide which one to use.  They both have the same design concept but one is a single-sided design and the other is a front/back design. My husband likes the single sided one, but I think I prefer the double sided design.

So I need your help!  :o)

I have posted a poll in my sidebar ---------------->

Please vote and tell me which one you think I should use this year!

Thanks!

Bonus!

While I may be a little depressed that my daughter is already one, a bonus is that I no longer have to give her this:

and I can finally give her this:

It is so fabulous!  :o)

Pumpkin Pickin'

The McFalls where in town for Hannah's birthday party so while they were here we all loaded up in the car and headed out to find that perfect pumpkin.  :oP  We bundled Hannah up and braved the cold weather. Luckily it stopped raining and the sun came out, but it was too muddy to do a hay ride or anything like that. So we just picked a pumpkin for the ones that had already been 'picked' from the field.

Okay, lets pick out my pumpkin!
Maybe if I kick the pumpkins....

No... I'll sit and get one...

I think I like this one!

There are just so many to choose from...

If the weather gets nice again, I will be sure to get a 'group' pumpkin shot with us and our pumpkins.  It was just a little too cold to worry about that while we where there.

1 Year Stats

Hannah had her 1 year check-up yesterday.

Here are her stats:

weight -- 21 lbs -- 50th percentile
(+1 3/4 lbs from 9 months)

height -- 29 3/4 inches -- 70th percentile
(+1 3/4 inches from 9 months)

head -- 44.3 cm -- 30th percentile
(+0.7 cm from 9 months)

I had a bet going with my mom on Hannah's weight... but my mom won.  She said 21 pounds and I said 22. I just want to know why it is when I hold her she seems like she weighs 30?   :o(

Birthday Party

Yesterday was Hannah's birthday party. I spent a lot of time planning, prepping and getting everything in order and I think it paid off.  Everything went off without a hitch!  Everyone loved the food (I didn't even have leftovers... I probably should have tripled the recipes) and the decorations.

Hannah had about 35 friends and family members come celebrate her birthday with her.  She got tons of new toys... and mommy even managed to get most of them put together last night so she could play with them.  Needless to say, our living room now looks like the toy aisle at Target.  Now I really wish we had a play room for all of her toys.  :oP  Ah well. But she loves all of her new toys!  :o)  I will be sure to take some photos of her playing with them and do a separate post.

But now onto the party pictures. I was busy with the food prep so I didn't get as many pre-party pictures as I would have liked so I apologize. But I did get a few before too many people arrived.

The setup.

I just loved how these cupcakes turned out! So cute!

Lets eat cake! YUM!

And the aftermath.  :oP
There wasn't much left.  I think she liked it!

Present time!
She actually did pretty well with trying to rip the paper herself.

All-in-all the party was a huge success!

I just still can't believe that my baby is ONE!  Someone asked me how old she was today while I was at Panera and it was the first time I said she was 1 year old.  It was weird.  She just doesn't seem like she should be that old yet.  :o(

But thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us! Hannah is so fortunate to have such wonderful and loving family and friends.  :o)

Happy Birthday Hannah!

1 year old.  *sigh*

This past year has been the fastest year ever.  I can't believe my baby girl is 1 year old.

I took her last 'monthly' picture today, which kind of makes me sad.

But at the same time, I am excited.  Hannah is becoming a little person. She is so close to walking.  She talks up a storm.  Her new words include papa and duck.  She loves everything we put into her mouth: grilled cheese, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, oranges, apple, pears, peaches, cheese, crackers, turkey lunch meat, pancakes, muffins, eggs... and as of today... birthday cake!  :oP She is actually interacting with toys and learning what to do with them, instead of just holding them and looking at them. It is so crazy how fast she is learning new things.

Hannah,
This past year has been the best year of our lives... watching you grow and learn.  You are so amazing. You make our bad days good with your little smiles and giggles. And it is so special when you give us the occasional kiss!  :oP Mommy and daddy love you with all of our hearts.  Happy 1st Birthday baby girl!
Love, Mommy and Daddy
