What a mess!

This was the mess on Hannah's lap after we took the tray off of her high chair.

What did I do!?

At least there wasn't sauce on the noodles.  That would have been interesting! :oP

Christmas #3, 4 and 5

Wow! I am behind in my blog posting! So to catch up, I am going to do one long post about our 3 other Christmases. But I'll try to keep the 'blabbing' to a minimum!  :oP

Christmas #3--Christmas Morning, Our House

Christmas Day sure did sneak up on me. And now I can't believe it is over. *tear* But it was a great morning! The look on Hannah's face as she ripped the paper off to get to her gifts was priceless. She got so excited every time we handed her a new gift. It really made Christmas so much more enjoyable knowing Hannah was truly excited to open her gifts and to find out what she had gotten.

Christmas #4--Christmas Night, My Parent's House

After a nice relaxing Christmas morning we were off to my parents house for dinner and more gifts from Santa. My sister and brother-in-law traveled up from Indy which was nice. We had a nice prime rib dinner with cheesecake for dessert!  Yummy! And before we all feel asleep we managed to open up our gifts. :o)

Christmas #5--Day After Christmas, Nick's Parent's House

The day after Christmas we headed to Nick's parent's house for dinner and even more gifts. By this time Hannah already had a mini community of Little People...but after Nick's parents she had a full blown Little people community--over 50 Little People figures!

All of Nick's sister were there which was great...the first time all of the sibling were together in quite some time (years perhaps). Hannah loved spending time with her aunties!  :o)

And after all of the excitement, Hannah was ready to crash! It was a busy week of opening gifts for her! :oP

I hope you all had a great Christmas...surrounded by the ones who mean most to you! I still can't believe it is all over!  :o(

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Christmas future is far away
Christmas past is past
Christmas present is here today
Bringing joy that may last

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
May your heart be light
In a year our troubles will be out of sight
From now on

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the yuletide gay
In a year our troubles will be miles away

Here we are as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Precious friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more

I know that
In a year we all will be together
If the Fates allow
Until then, we'll just have to muddle through somehow
And have ourselves a merry little Christmas now.

Christmas at the Zoo

On monday we headed down to Indianapolis to go to Christmas at the Zoo.  My sister and brother-in-law live in Indy so we stayed the night at their place.

This was Hannah's first real 'vacation' where she stayed the night at someones house where it wasn't our house or her grandparents house. So we had to load up the pack n play so she could sleep in that.  No worries though, Hannah slept fine...she got her 12 hours of beauty rest that night! The kid takes after her father, that is for sure!

Hannah also slept the whole 2:45 hours on the way there (and on the way home) and was absolutely fabulous at the Zoo. The poor thing was bundled up in mittens, hat, coat and blankets but she was a champ and enjoyed seeing all of the animals.

She saw the tigers and even said her version of the word 'cat' and pointed at them. A seal stopped at the glass a stared/talked to Hannah for almost 30 seconds. It was kind of weird because I really do think the seal was talking to Hannah. His whiskers were moving like he was talking. :oP

Then it got dark and my sister met us there...we walked around and enjoyed all of the lights while drinking a hot chocolate. yummy!

It was good times! I'm glad we went down there and I'm even more glad that my brother-in-law works at the zoo and got us in for free!  :o) Hey, its the little things, right!? :oP

It was great to finally see my sister's place. She has lived there for 2 year and this is the first time we had been there to see them. We'll have to go back down in the summer though when it is warm and all of the animals are out at the zoo! :o)
