Meal Plan

I am wanting to try to do a meal plan each week...not only for grocery shopping, but so we can know what we're having and not spend 30 minutes going:

'what do you want for dinner?'
'I don't know, what do you want?'

So here is my meal plan for this week.

Monday:
Chicken and Broccoli Skillet

Tuesday: (we're having guests over for dinner)
White Cheese Chicken Lasagna
White Cheese Chicken Lasagna Recipe

Wednesday:
Spaghetti with Wheat Pasta

Thursday:
Chicken Noodle Soup and Grilled Cheese
Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe

Friday:
Chicken Broccoli Shells

I'm sure things might change around a bit or there might be a meal I don't end up making, but for the most part this is my plan.

We have gotten into a dinner slump, where we're making the same things over and over. I really love to try new recipes and to cook, so I'm going to try to get back into finding new recipes and making old ones that we love. I want to try to have dinner ready for Nick when he gets home from work. I used to do this all the time. Since Hannah will pretty much eat what we eat, I think I can get back into making fun dinners and she will be able to eat them too! (ok, minus the spaghetti I have down for Wednesday! I'm not going there with Hannah! :oP )

What are you making for dinner this week? Any fun new recipes you're trying out?

  1. We used to do a menu too. I saved A LOT of money!! I have had that particular cheesy chicken skillet recipe but I do use this one http://www.kraftrecipes.com/kf/recipes/cheesy-chicken-simmer-91428.aspx it's AMAZING. I have a book of trusted recipes that I use if you're ever interested.

  3. We did the meal plan thing last week. Saved money going to the store because we actually stuck to the list. Also, I didn't start making a meal and then say 'oops, I don't have everything I need' We actually did a good job sticking to it too, and what I didn't make, I'm making this week.
I think I'm going to try that chicken lasagna! :o)
OH and our standby is this Chicken/Bacon/Ranch pasta meal I got from one of your books. :oP
