Target
11.28.2009
I have only gotten two christmas gifts marked off my list of things I am getting people. I can't post anything on here though because people stalk my blog and we wouldn't want to ruin the surprise. :o) But they are from Target... the best store ever!
Also while I was there, my mom got me a cute rug with reindeer on it and matching hand towels to put in our kitchen. I don't have a lot of decorations for christmas so she helped me out a little bit! (Thanks mom!)
There were tons of other cute christmas decorations that I wanted...
but unfortuntely I will just have to wait until next year. :o(
In the meantime, I continue my quest of christmas shopping and marking things off my list.

Happy Thanksgiving! (a day late)
11.27.2009
I hope everyone had a fabulous thanksgiving. I know I did! It was my first time hosting thanksgiving dinner and it was the first time both sides of our families were together for thanksgiving. Everything went really smoothly. I managed to get all of the food done at about the same time which is always a task when you have a big meal like thanksgiving. But everything was yummy (I think I ate too much) and hopefully this was the first of many thanksgivings with our two families together.
I'm so thankgful for my wonderful family, husband, daughter and friends. You all bless my life everyday and I wouldn't be who I am if it wasn't for all of you.
I did take a few photos yesterday but I don't want to upload them to my husband's computer. Long story short, our power went out thanksgiving morning and it zapped my computer. I am unable to turn it on now. So right now I am using my husbands PC and I hate PCs. But I wanted to do a post to update you all. I'm hoping my computer can get fixed by Monday but who knows. :o/ And I was hoping to be able to go all of November with posting everyday but yesterday I was not able to post because of my computer drama. Ugh! But I have posted twice in one day on more than one occassion so maybe that cancels out my one day of not being able to post. ???? Maybe??? Hopefully I can post the rest of November...
Today is a day of clean up. I'm still tackling dishes, but I managed to get the tables down so our kitchen is almost back to normal. This weekend I want to start decorating for christmas. :o) We're getting our tree on the 5th so I should be able to get everything else done before that. Our lights are already up though so you can bet that those will be turned on tonight! :o)
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Enjoy the leftovers!

Last Year
11.24.2009
Thanksgiving last year.
At first I wasn't going to post this... because, well, I think I look pretty gross. This was just 1 month after Hannah was born so I still had a lot of the baby weight on me. (Ew!) I felt gross then and looking back at the picture I still think I look gross (and maybe a little tired???). I will go ahead and post it though.
This Thanksgiving we will take another family pic and post that one as well! Maybe do a little side-by-side comparison. :o)

Rocket Dog
11.22.2009
I am now the proud owner of these (thanks Deb!):
They are Rocket Dog's Honey Pup Boot ! I never thought I would own a pair of boots like this but they are so cute and so comfortable! I love them! :o)
That is all!
Thanksgiving #1
11.21.2009
Today we headed over to my aunt and uncle's house for Thanksgiving on my mom's side.
It was Hannah's first Thanksgiving where she actually ate the food that we ate. Last year she was only 1 month old. But this year she had a little of everything, I think. :oP She had turkey, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs... anything I gave her, she ate and liked.
I didn't take my camera but I did snap one photo with my phone.
Here we are getting ready to sit down for dinner!
Tomorrow we head to my grandparents house do it all again... for my dad's side.

What's In A Name?
11.20.2009
If you haven't already noticed... I decided to change the name of my blog. (not the url, just the blog)
Reason #1: Hannah is technically no longer a baby... so it's kind of weird to have 'baby' in the name of my blog.
Reason #2: We will eventually be having another baby and the name just didn't work as a plural... loving baby lovingS??? no, not so much.
So, yes, I changed it. But don't worry... it's the same great blog... :o)

Hosting Thanksgiving
11.16.2009
This year Nick and I are hosting Thanksgiving at our house. While we will be celebrating Thanksgiving with my mom's side and my dad's side this weekend, on actual Thanksgiving day I will be making dinner and having the immediate family from both sides over to celebrate.
I love to plan/throw a party so I am really excited about hosting Thanksgiving! I am trying to get the menu figured out, which I will share in a separate post tomorrow. The moms are helping me make a few things so that is nice...I just have to figure who is going to make what.
But in the mean time I have also been trying to figure out how to set the table. I was really kind of bummed because I didn't have enough 'nice' dinner plates to set for the 16 or so people we are having over. I was going to have to use the oh so super plastic plates...which is fine...it's just that I have always wanted the matching dishes that I could set out to make the table look nice, etc., etc., etc. Yeah, I'm weird, I guess. But yesterday Nick's mom surprised me with matching cream dinner plates and salad plates for 20 place settings! So now I will have the dishes to be able to have the table all set up! I am so excited! Plus she got me two matching serving bowls, a serving platter and a gravy boat. Eeeeee!
As far as centerpieces and place cards go, I was trying to find some cheaper options. I found these on marthastewart.com:
Easy tissue paper candle holders
acorn napkin ring -I would add a place card to it. I'm just not sure if I will be able to find enough acorns...
mini pumpkin candle centerpieces
leaf place cards
What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Are you hosting or are you traveling and making the rounds to other family members houses?

Sweater Dress-FOUND!
11.15.2009
I got a sweater dress from Target . It was $29.99 so you can't really beat that price for a dress. It's black and really simple so I am hoping to dress it up with some necklaces, earrings maybe, grey tights and hopefully boots.
I couldn't find the exact dress on their website but this is pretty close:
Except the dress I got is 3/4 length sleeves.
Like I said, nothing super fancy so I want to dress it up a bit with a necklace(s).
I've been looking around Sam Moon for some different options and came across these:
I think I like the last one best because it brings in the three different metal colors.
As for boots, I'm not sure whether flat boots or boots with heels will look better. What do you think?
Or maybe flats would look better???
Well, either way... I have the dress! 1 down, 2 more things to go until the outfit is complete. :o)
