Easter is a month away (can you believe it!?) so I decided to buy Hannah's outfit before everything was picked over.
I got this super cute bubble dress from Target:
With this cute sweater to go over it:
I'll pair it with some tights and white shoes.
Maybe these???
or these???
I think I like the second pair of shoes more, only because they are a bit more casual and she'll be able to wear them for more than just Easter. What do you think!? I guess it also depends on if they fit...Hannah has kind of wide feet... :o)
Things To Do...
...before getting pregnant.
As the ticker in my sidebar counts down and has less and less days on it, my brain has been on overdrive with pre-baby thoughts.
Parents has a pretty good 'list' to go buy, so I thought I would post it here.
1. Go off the pill.
2. Cut back on partying.
3. Limit caffeine.
4. Step on the scale.
5. Go to the movies.
6. Set up a slush fund.
7. Pop a prenatal supplement.
8. Stock up on sleep.
9. Find your stress remedy.
10. Get snap-happy.
11. Make a restaurant check-list.
12. Deal with where you want to live.
13. Deal with your job.
14. Ask your mom about her pregnancy.
15. Pay your doc a visit.
16. Don't forget the dentist.
17. Book a girlfriend getaway.
18. Go back to your roots.
19. Stop buying clothes.
20. Have a parenting talk.

1. Go off the pill.
Haven't done this yet, but its coming soon enough. AH!
2. Cut back on partying.
Yeah, never really partied so we're good there. Plus its even harder to party when you already have a child.
3. Limit caffeine.
Damn it! This is so hard to do for me! I love coke. Guess I should try to switch to sprite or something else caffeine free though.
4. Step on the scale.
Why? The scale is the devil! :oP No...I guess your BMI should be between 19 and 24. I'm just under 24, but I do still want to lose a few more pounds. 6 off, 5 (or more) to go!
5. Go to the movies.
I wish. Haven't seen a movie in the theatre since the last Harry Potter. Sad, I know!
6. Set up a slush fund.
Trying to the best of our abilities.
7. Pop a prenatal supplement.
Started at the beginning of February! But why must the pills be so freakin' large??? WHY?
8. Stock up on sleep.
Luckily, I have a child who sleep 12 hours a night so I'm good in this department.
9. Find your stress remedy.
Does shopping count? Probably not, huh!? Think it might just cause more stress...
10. Get snap-happy.
Done and done. I love taking photos!
11. Make a restaurant check-list.
Would love to...who's buying!
12. Deal with where you want to live.
Just built a house...we're staying here awhile!
13. Deal with your job.
I'm freelance so I deal mostly with myself. Love it!
14. Ask your mom about her pregnancy.
It was pretty uneventful.
15. Pay your doc a visit.
Did back in December.
16. Don't forget the dentist.
I'm going to pretend that this isn't on the list. :o) I hate the dentist!
17. Book a girlfriend getaway.
Seeing Sara in April. I think that's as close as we'll get to a 'getaway'!
18. Go back to your roots.
I haven't colored my hair in a while so I had a lot of roots. Just colored it with a semi-permanent to try to blend it back into its normal color.
19. Stop buying clothes.
Stop??? I never really started. :o/
20. Have a parenting talk.
Did this before Hannah. I think we're pretty good here.

Hummm... pretty accurate I suppose.
Hannah does know where her nose, eyes, mouth, ears, toes, and fingers are. She LOVES peek-a-boo. Just the other day she picked up a crayon and started coloring (and I have never even given her crayons before) but in the end she did feel the need to bite it in half! :oP
She still doesn't really through tantrums though. (although I'm sure its coming.) She'll get upset if she can't figure something out or if she wants something that she can't have...but she is easily sidetracked by other things and we can avoid a complete meltdown from her if we just get her to focus on something else.
I just can't believe that Hannah is 16 months old. In 2 months she will be a year and a half old. I thought the first year of her life flew by... but this one seems to be going even faster. I just want it to slow down!
How your toddler's changing: Your child's understanding of the world is growing rapidly. For instance, he no longer thinks crayons are something to eat. He can now grab them and create glorious scribble pictures just for you. He gets simple games, and can while away long moments playing peekaboo or name the body part (where's baby's nose? Where's Mama's chin?).
He's still got a ways to go before he's completely sure on his feet, however. It's easy for him to misjudge the depth of a stair or to trip over his own feet when running toward you for a hug — so give him a big one.
How your life is changing: You're learning that 2-year-olds aren't the only ones to go through "terrible" phases. Your toddler may be easily overwhelmed by life's challenges and respond to them by dissolving into tears and screams. Don't ask him to stop — he probably can't. Instead be patient, available, and willing to offer him comfort or just your presence, whatever he seems to need at the moment. He'll get over it and be good as new if you just let him storm.

pajama mishap
2.23.2010
I went into Hannah's room this morning to find this:
She had somehow managed to get her head out of her shirt while keeping her arms still in. ??? I don't know how she did managed to do it!?
I couldn't help but laugh at her! She thought it was so funny.

She is just one goofy girl!
P.S. Gotta love the hair! :oP
Reminiscing
I'm feeling kind of sentimental today for some reason. Maybe its because I listened to Find Your Wings by Mark Harris? Or maybe it's just because my daughter seems to be growing up so fast. It was around two years ago that I found out I was pregnant. 2 years! How does 2 years go by so quickly?
So because I'm in this mood I am going to do a reminiscing post with the lyrics of the song.
Find Your Wings—Mark Harris
So many different prayers I'll pray
For all that you might do
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
So because I'm in this mood I am going to do a reminiscing post with the lyrics of the song.
Find Your Wings—Mark Harris
It's only for a moment you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfoldSo many different prayers I'll pray
For all that you might do
But most of all I'll want to know
You're walking in the truth
And If I never told you
I want you to know
As I watch you grow
And If I never told you
I want you to know
As I watch you grow
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courageTo dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
May passion be the wind
That leads you through your days
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way
May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way
May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wing
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wing
It's not living if you don't reach for the sky
I'll have tears as you take off
But I'll cheer as you fly
I'll have tears as you take off
But I'll cheer as you fly
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams

Family Friday
2.21.2010
Nick took the day off work on Friday and we spent the entire day just hanging out. We played, I made Chicken Tortilla Soup (yummy!) in the crock pot. My parents came over and ate dinner with us. It was just an all around great day! :o)
Summersaults!
2.20.2010
Hannah's new thing is to do summersaults.
The other day she put her head down on the ground and I went over and flipped her feet over her head saying 'summersault!' Now every time I ask Hannah if she wants to do a summersault, she will put her head on the ground.
I swear this girl is a sponge. I show her how to do something one time and she knows what I'm talking about the next time I mention it.
Anyway, Nick got some photos of Hannah doing a summersault! Maybe we have a future gymnast on our hands!
Enjoy! :o)
