To kick off Fall, we took the kiddos to our local orchard to pick some apples. We have done this every year since Hannah was born. It has become a tradition.
Here are the past years. 2009. 2010. 2011.
Sadly, this years apple crop was completely destroyed from the combination of the early Spring, late frost, and lack of rain...but we didn't let that stop us from having fun!!!
This year the orchard did something a little special. Since there were no apples to pick from the trees, they did something they called: "It's Raining Apples". They hung gutters around the orchard and placed apples in the gutters. That way you could still take the tractor ride out to the fields and 'pick' some apples.
