Our Kitchen

Our house is really coming along!  Hannah and I went the other day to pick out cabinets. And let me just say what a HUGE help she was... yeah, okay not really... she slept the whole time.  :oP But we picked everything out and they have been ordered!  YAY!

The company sent me a 3D rendering of what our kitchen will look like!  :o) I'm very excited about it!  We got dark espresso cabinets and the walls are being painted red!

The sink and peninsula view.

The peninsula view... looking out into what will be the dining room (which is the white space in this rendering).

The stove view.

And then here is the floor plan. (Our bathroom sinks are on the top of the layout.)

Our tile for the bathrooms and kitchen should come in this week so hopefully we can tackle that this weekend.  My dad and Nick are going to be doing it themselves.  We haven't decided how we're going to layout the tile for the kitchen yet but these are the options:

This one is my favorite.

Then this one.

And then this one... but I'm pretty much ruling this one out because I think it will be a bit too busy.

Tonight, Nick and I are headed out to the house to paint... again.  We're on day 4 and we're not even close to being finished.  But at least now we're starting to get color on the walls... it was the primer that took forever!

Clearance Sales

With spring clothes already hitting the racks, a lot of stores are putting their winter clothes on clearance.  So I am going to take full advantage of the sales and get Hannah some clothes for next winter.

Old Navy has quite a few things... I've got 10 items in my cart and it all comes to just $40!

Kohls has some things as well!  6 things for $30!

wedding photo & couches

Since Nick and I are currently in the process of building our new house, we had set a limit on spending for christmas presents.  But we did splurge on one gift and we're so happy that we did!

We got our beautiful and huge 20 x 30 inch wedding print, that we won from our photographer, matted and framed!  It is absolutely fabulous and we can't wait to hang it above our couch in the new house!  :o)

And speaking couches... I've been trying to convince Nick into getting new couches for the house.  New house should mean new couches, right!?  Our current couches are so uncomfortable so I would really like to get new ones.

Value City seems to have some great deals going on so maybe I can drag Nick out there to look!  :o)

Here are a few that I found on their website:

1.)  $549.99
Chloe Chocolate 2-PC Sofa and Chair & 1/2 Package
2.)  $699.99
Troy Cocoa 3-PC Sofa, Chair & Ottoman Package
3.)  $769.99
Magic Camel 2-PC Sleeper & Loveseat Package
Which one do you like?  (our coffee table and end tables are the ones in photo #3)

New Years Photos

I just wanted to post a few photos from New Years Eve!

This is probably wrong in so many ways, but it was just too cute so I had to get a photo.  :oP

Hannah and mommy!

Happy 2009!

Overachieving Daughter!

Yesterday I wrote in my post about Hannah meeting her milestones in 2009... well she decided she wanted to meet one of them in 2008.

I was at my parents house yesterday working on my 'business' (of which I will share with you soon), sitting on the floor next to Hannah, and she ROLLS OVER!  Me and my mom couldn't believe it.  I was just asking my mom when Hannah should be rolling over and she told me it was probably a bit soon for her to be doing that yet.  Well, she made a liar out of my mom because no sooner did I place her on her tummy, she rolled over onto her back.

My little girl is so strong!

And of course for the next half hour I tried to get her to do it again but with no success.  I'm sure it was a fluke rollover but she rolled over nonetheless and it will be marked in her baby book!  :o)

YAY Hannah!
