Christmas #2-Dad's Side

On Sunday, we had Christmas #2. This time it was at my grandparents house for my dad's side.

I have a ton of cousins on my dad's side (as well as my mom's) and some of those cousins have children of their own.  Hannah is just now reaching the age where she is absolutely fascinated by other kids...so she was having a blast playing with her first cousins once removed.

Hannah also loved opening her gifts!

Hannah was 'finding santa' on her great grandmas shirt and going "ho ho".  :o) It was pretty cute.

How can you just not love that cute little face!?

Hannah and mommy. Too bad Hannah doesn't know how to say cheese for the camera yet... :o/

Family pic.

We still have 2 more christmases to go...Christmas day at my parents and the days after Christmas at Nick's parents.

I'm not really sure how I am going to fit all of Hannah's new toys into our house... let alone our living room.  :o/

Little Pink Chair

You all know about Hannah's birthday present that we got her... her little pink Pottery Barn chair...

Well, I am please and excited to announce that Hannah actually loves to sit on it!  :o)

I guess I find this so exciting because I am so used to my mom buying our family cat tons of beds: covered beds, flat beds, beds with toys attached, etc., etc., and she never slept on a single one. So when I saw Hannah climb up into her chair on her own for the first time, needless-to-say I got a little giddy!

Christmas #1-Mom's Side

This past weekend was one of 4 christmases that we have/go to. This one was for my mom's side. My mom always hosts christmas at her house so I headed over there around 1 to help cook and set everything up.

Here is the table.

I made these yummy peppermint meltaway cookies.

We always have to take a picture of us like this! :oP Sadly though, we did not get a family picture... :o( ah well, I'm sure we'll manage to get one at one of the three other christmases we're going to! :oP

Hannah opening a gift from grandma and grandpa!

Little People!

Hannah and daddy.
Notice the toy in her hand! :oP

She loved her little people toys. (good thing because she is getting more from Santa!)

And I just thought this picture was cute!

This weekend we go to my grandparents house for christmas with my dad's side.

Our Christmas Tree!

Since I FINALLY have my computer back (and have gotten things organized again), I will start back up with 'good' posts!  :oP

We'll start with our christmas tree! :o)

We headed out on December 5th to cut down our christmas tree. It was a little cold that day so we had to bundle Hannah up with a hat and gloves. We headed out to Hensler Nursery. I found the place online and it looked like a nice place to go, so we drove the 45 minutes to go there, and boy am I glad we did. The place was great!

This is what it looked like when you pulled up:

How freakin' cute is that!?

We decided to take a horse drawn trailer out to the field. Here we are waiting to go dashing through the snow! :oP Although there was no snow, it wasn't a sleigh and there were 2 horses not  1; but anyways...

We looked around for the 'perfect' tree! We didn't want a huge one (although we do have 12 foot ceilings in our living room), we just wanted something around 5 feet because we were going to put the tree in a planter so it's up a little higher and Hannah can't really reach it.

Here is our tree! So cute!

Here is Nick cutting down our tree.

YAY!

After we found our tree, my parents found their tree.  Theirs is just a tad bit bigger than ours! :oP

After we were done cutting down our trees we enjoyed some yummy hot chocolate. It was just a great day! I look forward to doing that with Hannah for many years to come! :o)

I ended up decorating the tree while Hannah was taking a nap.  I wanted her to help me but she is just too little to even understand the concept of putting ornaments on the tree. So we will have to wait until next year.

But daddy and Hannah did help with the star!

Cute Bows

Hannah's hair is getting so long and soon I will be able to put it in actual pigtails! :o)

So while browsing ETSY yesterday, I can across these super cute little korker hair bows by Little Belle.
