35 Weeks!

How far along? 35 weeks

Due Date: My actual due date is February 15th but I will be induced at least one week early. I'm hoping to maybe set a date tomorrow at my doctor's appointment.

Total weight gain/loss: +32 lbs

Maternity clothes? Yep!

Stretch Marks? Nope!

Sleep: Uncomfortable!

Best moment this week: We put together Cole's dresser and crib!

Movement: Yep!

Food cravings: Nothing specific. I'm just hungry all the time.

Food aversions: None.

Gender: Boy!

Labor Signs: None that I know of...

Belly Button in or out? Still in.

What I miss: I would really really love to be able to lay on my stomach!

What I am looking forward to: Meeting our little guy!

MilestonesAt about 20 inches and five and a half pounds, most of your baby's growth over the next month or so before you meet will be in weight (with a gain of anywhere from one pound to several), not height (baby's pretty much reached the in utero limit in that department).

Sneak Peak—Colson's Room

In the past week we have made a lot of progress on Cole's room. Almost all of our office stuff is moved out minus the computers and a book shelf.  This left enough room for me to be able to get the paint up on the walls.

I absolutely LOVE the paint color! I think it is the perfect brown! It's not too dark but it's not a tan color. I love it! :o)

We also got Cole's dresser put together, as well as his crib. Right now they're just in the corner of the room...we still have to arrange everything, but at least they are together. It really makes me feel better knowing that his room is almost finished.

Here is the crib and dresser next to the paint color. The crib is the same crib that Hannah has...it's the Graco Lauren Crib in Espresso. The dresser (which you can't see all to well) is from Ikea. You can't beat $59 for a 5 drawer dresser!

Here is a photo of the curtains next to the paint color. We also got these from Ikea—$20 for two panels.

The plan was for me to paint three large circles above the crib—one in green, blue and orange. But then I got to thinking that it might be easier to do them in wall vinyl. That way I would be able to move them around/remove them. I did a little research but the price was just not working for me. So then I came up with using fabric. Nick came up with the idea of mounting it on foam board. GENIUS! So I went to the store today to look at fabric. I couldn't find the exact colors that I wanted—this is where paint would have been easier as I would have been able to pick the exact colors that I wanted. But I managed to find some that I think work well with the bedding...

The perfectionist in me is a little bothered by the colors not matching the bedding exactly, the blue is the color that bothers me the most. It's a bit too bright compared to the other two colors...but I guess I'll get over it. I think it looks nice none-the-less. And who knows, maybe I'll come across a blue at a different store that I like better and then I can just pop this blue off and re-do it. (The fabric is only hot glued to the back of the foam board.) :o)

Also, as you can see, I decided to keep them as rectangles. By doing this, I was able to keep them as large as possible, where if I were to cut them into circles, I would have been losing a lot of the color. When I actually mount them above the crib I will put them higher and a little farther apart. They are just propped up on the crib right now.

So there you have it! A little sneak peak into Colson's room.

Once it is completely set up, I will update with more photos. The same goes for my office. :o)

34 Week Belly Bump

Here is my 34 week bump photo.

And just a little comparison between my two pregnancies.

I thought for some reason I was really huge compared to what I looked like with Hannah at this point...but after doing this side-by-side comparison, I actually think I look comparable in size. Is it just me?

Either way though, I feel huge and I am definitely more uncomfortable at this point then I was with Hannah. It's amazing how your body reacts after the muscles have already been stretched. I feel like an old lady.

34 Weeks!

How far along? 34 weeks— I might be starting to freak out a bit...

Due Date: My induction date will be set somewhere between February 2nd and 8th providing all things stay on track. Although deep down I am kind of hoping for a January 29th birthday. (It's a numbers things.) I will talk to my doctor next week about when we will set the actual date. The planner in me is hoping we'll be able to set the date at my appointment next week, so we'll see.

Total weight gain/loss: +32 lbs

Maternity clothes? Yep!

Stretch Marks? Nope!

Sleep: Uncomfortable!

Best moment this week: We are finally moving our office crap into the basement offices. I will be able to paint Colson's room this week!  :o)

Movement: Yep!

Food cravings: Darn candy and sweets.

Food aversions: None.

Gender: Boy!

Labor Signs: None that I know of...

Belly Button in or out? Still in.

What I miss: Being myself. I was fine with Hannah up until the end. I enjoyed being pregnant. This go around, I am sad to say that I am ready to be done...I'm ready to Hold Colson in my arms instead of having him kick me in the ribs.

What I am looking forward to: Finally painting Colson's room. :o)

Milestones: I'm 34 weeks today which means I have about 4 weeks to go. 4 WEEKS!

Baby is clocking in at five pounds and could be as tall as 20 inches by now. This week, a boy's testicles start making their way down from his abdomen to their final destination: his scrotum and those tiny fingernails have probably reached the tips of his fingers by now.
