since we're talking about baseball...

Father's Day is fast approaching and I have known what I am getting Nick for a few months now.

And since we're talking about baseball I figured its as good a time as any to post this entry.

Like I wrote in my previous post, Nick is a diehard Yankees fan.  So for Father's Day I am getting Hannah and Nick matching Yankees shirts.  That way when he is watching a game they can wear their shirts together.  :oP

But not only am I getting him the matching shirts, but I am personalizing them as well.

On the back of Hannah's I am getting her name and the number 08 (because that is the year she was born).

But I am kind of stumped on what to put on the back of Nick's shirt.

Here are the options I have come up with so far:

1.  Since it's for Father's Day, I was thinking DADDY and the number 1... but then I was thinking that maybe Nick wouldn't want to wear that shirt out in public.  :o/

2.  Then I thought maybe our last name or his first name with a number... but what number?  still number 1? or maybe 09 for the year of his first father's day?  08 to be the same as Hannah?

What do you think? Any suggestions?

I need help... and SOON because not only do I have to order the shirts but I have to iron the lettering and numbers onto the backs.

Baseball

Our friends had two extra White Sox tickets *gasp* and invited us to go along yesterday.  We of course said yes... I mean, it's free entertainment.

Now don't judge because we went to a White Sox game.  I was an avid White Sox watcher back in the Robin Ventura, Ozzie Guillen, Frank Thomas days.  I would watch EVERY SINGLE GAME.  But now, I would have to say that I am more of a Cubs fan.  Maybe its because of all of their loyal fans out there that watch them no matter what... hoping that this season will be the season to end the streak? Maybe its because I'm a follower? I don't know.  Maybe I am a fan of both? WHAT!?  Is that even allowed!?  I'm guessing not.  :oP

Well, if I can't be a fan of both, then I will just root for the Yankees with my husband. Honestly, I probably watch more of their games because Nick always turns them on.

Anyways, back to the White Sox game.  We had AWESOME seats--1st row!  I, of course, had to get the ballpark hotdog!  YUMMY! And they won.  So all-in-all it was a really fun time!

Loved our seats!

My hubby.

My feet.  :oP  Notice NO ONE sitting in front of us!  :o)

Awwwwwww! We're so cute!

Cheesy Italian Meatball Casserole

I made this for dinner tonight!  It was fairly easy and very good!

Cheesy Italian Meatball Casserole

16 ounces dried ziti or penne pasta
1 26-ounce tomato-base pasta sauce
1 16-ounce package frozen Italian-style cooked meatballs, thawed
1 15-ounce can italian-style tomato sauce
1 15-ounce carton ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grate parmesan cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook pasta according to package; drain. Return to pan. Stir in pasta sauce, meatballs and tomato sauce. Transfer to an ungreased 3-quart rectangular baking dish. Bake, covered, for 30 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine ricotta cheese and parmesan cheese. Uncover pasta mixture and spoon ricotta mixture in mounds over pasta mixture. Cover loosely; bake about 10 minutes more or until heated through. Top with mozzarella cheese and back, uncovered, for 5 more minutes. Make 5 to 8 servings.

Sorry

I'm sorry for my lack of blog posts.  I have been thinking about a lot of things these past few days so my mind has not been on blogging. I am sad, scared and stressed but at the same time I am motivated to make some much needed changes in my life.  While I have the best husband in the world and the most perfect daughter, my life is stuck in a rut.  I am changing that!  I have been working the past few days on my new adventure.  :o) I am excited to see where it takes me!  When I am comfortable sharing what this adventure is, I will definitely blog about it.  But for right now, things are still sinking in/in the beginning phases. It will require a lot of work but I am ready!

I will leave off with a photo of my beautiful baby girl! And I promise that tomorrow I will post a real entry!
