What is there not to love about old school Lincoln Logs?

I had a blast playing with these things when I was younger. My dad and I would make houses and them bomb them with airplane Lincoln Log bombs. :oP

I am so glad my mom hung on to these because the kiddos love playing with them...and I love that they are playing with the same ones that I played with 25 years ago!

The are just a good old classic toy! :o)

Snowmen and Sledding

This post is way late but I figured with the snow storm that just went through, I could still post about snow.

This was from a snow storm we got back in February. It was really the only significant amount of snow we got all season so we took advantage of it and went to my parents house to build snowmen.

We built a 'Hannah', 'Colson', and 'Baby #3' snowman. :o)

After the snowmen, the kiddos wanted nothing to do with going inside so my dad took them sledding down the tiny hill in their backyard. It is the perfect size for them.

And the poor kid could not sit up on the sled. I think his huge coat made him top heavy! haha!

But they had a blast! I loved seeing their huge smiles as they went down the hill!

This one just make me grin from ear to ear.

Pure joy!

And since I have finally posted this blog post about snow, I am hoping that Spring will finally come. I am over the snow and the cold. Spring where are you???

How far along? 12 weeks today

How big is baby? the size of a plum

Weight gain? +3

Maternity clothes? I can still wear my normal jeans but when I sit they suck the life out of me...so I bought a new pair of maternity jeans this past weekend and they are so comfy! :o)

Stretchmarks? nope

Sleep? Sometimes I feel like I could sleep for days! :o/ I am ready for the 2nd trimester energy!

Best moment this week? Heard baby's heartbeat on the doppler!

Movement? not yet

Food cravings? Nothing specific really.

Gender? Team Green this time! It's going to be a long 25+ weeks! :oP My hunch is girl though.

Labor signs? no! please cook for at least another 25 weeks!

Belly button in or out? in

What I miss? Not much right now.

What I am looking forward to? Making it to the 2nd trimester and starting to feel the little bean move.

Milestones? we heard the heartbeat!

Next doctor's appointment? April 15th--2 days shy of 16 weeks

1. Hello blog! I have not forgotten about you. I have tons of things to post about, I just can't find the energy to actually upload photos and write the posts. This week I will show you some love though, I promise!

2. I have come to the conclusion that it is never going to get nice outside. The 10 day forecast shows not a single temp above 45 degrees. Ugh! I am so ready for Spring, and for the kids to be able to play outside, and to be able to go on walks, and to not have to wear coats....or hats...or socks! I am over Winter! I was flowers and green grass and leaves on the trees. Ahhhhh!

3. I will be 12 weeks on Wednesday. Can someone tell me where weeks 9-11 went??? I promise to do a pregnancy update and *gasp* even post a belly pic!

4. I went through my clothes and got rid of about 2/3 of everything. It's stuff I haven't worn in over a year and I was tired of it taking up room in my closet. I was able to make room for my maternity clothes...which I don't have much of because my boobs are bigger and my hips are bigger and the stuff I worn when pregnant with Hannah doesn't fit. Such is life, I guess. Ah well! Idid go out yesterday though and bought a pair of maternity pants. I was tired of my normal jeans sucking the life out of me when I sat down. There's no point on being uncomfortable, right!? So at least now I have a pair of pants!

5. Mini Cadbury eggs....I love you!

6. I have a hair appointment on Thursday and I cannot even tell you how excited I am about it. The last time I got my hair done as before Christmas. It has been a long 12+ weeks but I am finally about to get it done!
