Fun in the Snow!

Last week, we had our first major snowfall of the winter. We got over 6 inches of snow and of course as soon as the first flakes started falling the kids started asking to go outside to play in it. :oP

So we bundled up and went outside.

Colson was wearing cuffed up 4T pants because I can't seem to find the smaller ones down in the basement...mind you, he barely wears a size 2t pant right now so these were crazy big on him! :o/ Plus he was wearing pink gloves. Because I am a bad mom and I haven't gotten him new gloves yet for this winter. But he didn't care! He had a blast! :o)

The kids also loved playing with these snow coloring marker things. My mom got them for the kids last winter but we never brought them out.

Sadly. the snow was not wet enough to build a snowman. :o( The kids were kind of looking forward to building one but I'm sure this will not be our only snow this winter. Hopefully we'll be able to use our new snowman kit very soon!

Christmas #1--Mom's Side

We had christmas #1 this past weekend. It was with my mom's side of the family.

The kiddos looked pretty darn adorable all dressed up in their christmas outfits.

Colson's hat just kills me. Nick has one just like it, so Colson loved that he matched daddy. And I love the girls coordinating outfits. I can already tell that I am going to have way too much fun when it comes to getting them coordinating outfit for future holidays and family picture sessions! :oP

Hailey was the life of the party--clearly. It's a rough job being the baby! haha! :oP

But Hannah and Colson, of course, loved opening their gifts.

We had a lot of fun! It's always nice to see my family that I don't see too often. There were lots of laughs! :o) Plus the kiddos loved playing with their cousins.

We didn't get home until almost 11:00!

Next up...Christmas #2 with my dad's side of the family this weekend.

Wordless Wednesday

3 Months Old!

Miss Hailey is three months old today.

No longer is she a newborn. No longer is she that itty bitty baby. :o(

And while I know she is still little, I can tell that she is getting big.

She can hold her head up really well and on occasion has even rolled over.

She is still in size 1 diapers and wearing 0-3 and 3 months clothes.

On average she sleeps from 9pm-6am--so about 9 hours.

She still sleeps a lot during the day but she has her wakeful moments. It' during those times that I can really see how she is noticing things. She will look and follow toys or watch her siblings being all crazy.

She loves to smile. She will give me the biggest smiles in the morning when she wakes up. She also loves it when we whistle. Apparently its pretty funny. :oP

She is also starting to coo which is very cute.

The past 3 months have gone by way too fast and I am trying to soak in every ounce of her baby-ness. It's sad that this will be the last time we have a baby. And while for a time we thought the same thing after we had Colson, we know that Hailey is for sure the final piece to our family. There are some nights where I have a hard time putting her to bed because I just want to snuggle her.

So time, please pretty please, just slow down. Just a little bit.

Decorating the Tree

I love that the kiddos are old enough to help me decorate the tree.

Okay, yes, I still do most of the decorating, but I leave the bottom part open for them to put up some ornaments. Usually this results in all of their ornaments going onto the same branch, but thats totally okay. :oP

And also, please ignore the 'baby's first christmas' ornaments--those are clearly not my children in the frames. Ha ha ha! I'll get Colson and Hailey's pictures in there eventually. :oP
