Things You Might Not Know

Cristina, over at CristinaAshleyDesigns posted a blog entry a few days ago with things that we might not know about her. She wanted her readers to follow along so I thought I would do so! :o)

Here we go. Things you might not know about me (in no particular order):

— I was hit by a car in the forth grade because a high schooler was late and didn't clean off his windows.

— I would have had perfect attendance all throughout school (k-12) had I not been hit by said car and had I not gotten the chicken pox in the same year. (4th grade was not a good grade for me! I ended up missing 3 weeks of school that year.)

— I always have to sleep on the side of the bed that is farthest away from the window. If that means when we go on vacation, that I have to sleep on the opposite side of the bed than I normally do, than so be it.

— I never wear white socks. Ever. I always have to buy colored socks or patterned socks.

— I was born with curly hair but after I had Hannah my hair doesn't seem to want to curl anymore...hence why I always straighten it now.

— I have a slight box obsession. If something comes in the mail in a box, I will save the box because I might need it later. I have gotten better with keeping random boxes but I used to have a huge pile of random empty boxes in the basement...you know, just in case. :o)

— My spine has a 27 degree curve in it (mild scoliosis).

— I used to be able to bend over backwards and touch my toes but I have never been able to bend forward and touch them.

Okay, that is all I can think of right now. :o)

Be sure to check our Cristina's blog to see what she said!

Playing

Here are just some random photos from the other day of Hannah playing.

I can't believe today is Wednesday. Didn't this week just start? Ugh.

Today is going to be a 'tackle my to-do list' day.

I've got laundry to do (Nick's mom bought us fleece sheets and I can't wait to wash them and get them on the bed!).
I have to iron a butt-load of Nick's shirts.
I also have to address Hannah's birthday thank you's so I can get those mailed out.
I might even head into the basement and try to organize some of the baby stuff that we'll be needing (ie. bottle, onsies, etc.) and get some other things moved into the actual 'storage' part of our new basement.

Oh, and I will take a few photos of the progress of our basement...we're moving right along! :o) The walls are framed for our offices and the electric is run through the walls. We're getting super close to drywall (this weekend we might be able to start...maybe? A pregnant girls who isn't getting any less pregnant can hope! Right!?)...and then paint! :o)

Okay, I hope everyone has a great Wednesday. It is cold here...Nick had to scrap frost off of the car before work...so I think a fire in the fireplace will also be on the to-do list today! You have to have one enjoyable thing on your to-do list! :o)

Christmas Cards

I realize that we are only a day after Halloween but I wanted to get our Christmas cards designed and ordered before things got too crazy around here with the Holidays, the nursery, the pregnancy, etc. So the other week I designed our card and yesterday I ordered them.

I used one of the fabulous photos that Amy Straka took and I just love how it turned out. :o)

Now, I know some people who will be receiving a card, also read my blog; so if you want to be surprised I wouldn't read any further. For those who want to see it, then go ahead and scroll down.

I love them and I figured we'd give Hannah the spotlight this year since next year she'll have to share it with her brother!  :oP

Happy Halloween!

We took Hannah to her grandparent's houses yesterday for trick or treating.

We got her all dressed up in her costume. Her costume was the same costume I wore when I was 18 months old. It was really great to have my little girl wear it!

She looked so stinkin' cute!

I'll scan a photo of me in the costume sometime this week and I'll do a side by side. :o)

But once we were all dressed up we headed over to my parents house.

Then we headed over to Nick's parents house.

We also made stops to Hannah's GG's house and her Auntie Mandi and Uncie Travis's house.

Needless-to-say, Hannah had a blast and has been enjoying her candy! I couldn't get over her cute little pigtails and how cute she looked in the costume. It definitely brought a smile to my face to see her so excited about everything. :o)

Hannah's 2 Year Stats

Hannah had her 2 year wellness visit this past Thursday.

Here are her stats:

weight -- 24.9 lbs
25th percentile
(+1 lb from her 18 month visit)

height -- 34 1/2 inches
60th percentile
(+3 inches from her 18 month visit)

So we've got a tall, skinny-mini one our hands! :oP

The doctor said she looks great!
