So Thankful!

This Thanksgiving is extra special for my husband and I as we are so blessed to share it for the first time with our daughter.

It was so hard to comprehend what it would be like or feel like to be a mom but now that I actually am a mom I can honestly say that it is the most wonderful thing in the world!  Even though I no longer get to sleep through the night, waking up to see Hannah's beautiful face makes it all worth it! To see her grow everyday. To see those moments of her connecting with you... starring right into your eyes.  To get those little moments of smiles and finger holds.  It truly is the best thing ever

We are so thankful to have such a wonderful and healthy daughter!

The holiday season brings friends and family together and it has been great for Hannah to meet everyone, some people of which we have not seen in quite sometime! She is truly loved. We couldn't ask for better friends and family!

We are so thankful for you and we love you all!

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

1 Month Old!

Hannah is 1 month old today.  I can't believe it!  It seems just like yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital but at the same time it seems like we have never lived a day without her.

She is getting so big already!

Which One?

With Christmas just around the corner, I have been trying to find Hannah a Christmas outfit.  I don't want anything to crazy and fluffy, as she will only be 2 months old, so I am trying to find something more simple.

Here is what I have come across... I just can't decide which one to actually get. I'm kind of liking the sweater dresses...

 Baby Gap $44.50

 Baby Gap $39.50

 Old Navy $20.00
paired with a colored onesie underneath.

 JCPenney $21.99

Carter's Polka-Dot Smocked DressKohls $19.20

The Images of Mother

My mom sent this to me in an email the other day and thought I would share.  They are so true!

 The Images of Mother
4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!
8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.
 16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it!
35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.
45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom

On The Night You Were Born

I came across this book from another blog and I am definitely going to get it for Hannah.  A christmas gift perhaps!?

It just seems like a really sweet book and something that should be in every child's collection!

Here is a little excerpt from the book:

"On the night you were born,
the moon smiled with such wonder
that the stars peeked in to see you
and the night wind whispered,
Life will never be the same.

Because there had never been anyone like you...
ever in the world."

Pretty Eyes!

Hannah was actually awake long enough during tummy time today for me to get some photos of her with her beautiful eyes open!

How About Orange posted an entry today with these stuffed dachshunds made by Alice Apple. Check out her Esty store for cute fabric options!

I think I might get this one for Hannah's nursery... so it will remind her of her big brother and sister aka Dodger and Emma! :o)

Birth Announcement

With our newborn portrait session we had the option to get birth announcements or holiday cards.  Nick and I decided to get holidays cards.  However, I still wanted to do birth announcement so I decided to design them myself.  I didn't do an official photo shoot with Hannah like I would have preferred to do, mainly because I am already a little behind on getting these announcements done, I just used some photos that we had randomly taken.  I really like how it turned out!  :o)

2 week doctor's appointment

Hannah's doctors appointment went really well. The doctor said everything is right on track. She has gained half a pound from her original birth weight which he said was perfect.

When she was born she weighed 6 pounds 12 oz.
When she came home at two days old she weighed 6 pounds 9 oz.
At her 4 day check-up she weighed 6 pounds even.
At her two week appointment today she weighed in at 7 pounds 3 oz. This puts her in the 20th percentile for weight.

She measured 19 3/4 inches long which puts her in the 20th percentile for length. And her head measured 34 cm which puts her in the 10th percentile.

Hannah's next appointment is December 22nd and she'll get her first round of shots. :o(

Bath Time and 4 Generations

Hannah did not really enjoy her bath today but I couldn't resist having Nick take some photos.

We also headed to my parents house today so Hannah could meet her great grandparents!

We're all bundled for the car ride!  :o)

Hannah's Newborn Teaser Photos!

Samantha Uphold has posted teaser photos from Hannah's Newborn Session! They are wonderful! How will I ever pick which ones to buy?

I will post the website for viewing the rest when I get that information! :o)

My New Glider!

With the remaining gift cards from my baby shower, Nick and I decided to get a glider from Babies R Us. It is wonderful and so comfy! I love it! :o)
